Self-rising flour, sifted
Crisco shortening
Milk

Directions:
Sift flour into bowl. Make a hole in the center of the flour. Put a glob of Crisco in the hole. Pour in some milk. Mix dough together with hands. Roll and pat dough out to form biscuits with hands. Place in greased pan and bake at 400º until done.

Aunt Beulah learned to make biscuits from her mother-in-law Mom Fannie Dulaney. She would make a pan of biscuits and give them to us for breakfast baking. She would also make a couple of baby biscuits for the youngest Ogletree's. We can remember these tasting extra good.
