3 1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 c butter
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs - well beaten
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cream shortening and sugar continuing to beat until light and add well beaten eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and chill for a couple hours. Roll cookies out on floured surface and cut with cookie cutters. Mix food colored sugar mixture and sprinkle on top. Bake 400º for 6 to 10 minutes.
