2 Slabs Ribs
2 L Dr Pepper or Coke
---------- Rub----------
1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Salt
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/4 cup mild Chili Powder
-----------Sauce----------
1 cup Dr. Pepper or Coke
3 cups Ketchup
1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
6 tbsp. Mild Chili Powder
2 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp. Dry Mustard
1 tbsp. Cinnamon

Directions:

Trim ribs and place in non-reactive plastic or glass pan. I use one of those plastic pans from Walmart that will fit into an igloo. Pour Dr. Pepper over ribs and cover with foil. Put in igloo over ice over night. Take ribs out of igloo and rub with Rub. Let stand about an hour. Meanwhile make sauce in blender.
Lather with sauce and place on smoker meat side down. Smoke a couple of hours and baste with sauce. Keep cooking and basting until meat pulls away from bone.

Serve with beans and potato salad or slaw. Just before serving if you have a sweet onion, slice it and sprinkle lightly with leftover rub.
