1/3 box graham crackers (1 wrapped package of 11 crackers, or 44 marked quarter sections)
1 1/2 stick margarine or butter
1/2 cup brown sugar, tightly packed
1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Place crackers on large cookie sheet or jelly roll pan (approximately 12 by 18 by 1 inch). Break crackers apart into quarters, but place them so they are touching, they should cover ths surface area of the pan.
Slowly melt butter in a small saucepan. Add brown sugar and cook. Stirring 3 minutes. Stir in nuts and pour mixture over graham crackers, covering all. I spread mixture and nuts with basting brush.
Bake 10 minutes (no longer; these burn easily) Remove from tray at once and cool on wax paper.
makes 44 cookies.
