3 lbs pork spareribs (have the butcher crack the bones in two or 3 places)
Flour
Salt and pepper

SAUCE:
1 can tomato puree
1 tbl chili powder
2 tbl sugar or 1/4 c brown sugar
1/4 c vinegar
Salt and pepper

Directions:
RIBS:
Dust ribs with flour, salt and pepper. brown in a high degree oven in open baking pan. After ribs brown, turn, and lower oven to 300.

SAUCE:
Combine all ingredients

Pour sauce over ribs to barely cover and bake adding more sauce every 1/2 hr or so until all sauce is used. Bake about three hours all together. After all sauce is used, baste every so often with sauce fom the pan.
