2 c. chocolate wafer crumbs
5 T. melted butter
Filling:
3 - 8oz pkg. of cream cheese
1 c. sugar
5 large eggs
2 oz. semisweet chocolate, melted
Frosting: 6 oz. semisweet chocolate, melted
1/2 c. sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In medium bowl mix chocolate crumbs and melted butter until well blended. Press into 9" springform pan. In large bowl beat together cream cheese, sugar, and eggs at medium speed until smooth and fluffy. Spoon half of cream cheese mixture into crust. Stir chocolate into remaining cream cheese mixture until well-blended. Drizzle over batter in crust to make swirls. Bake cheesecake for 50 minutes. Transfer pan to a wire rack. Cool completely. Transfer cheesecake to a serving plate, cover w/ plastic wrap and chill for 2 hours. Uncover cheesecake and carefully remove the side of the pan. Mix melted chocolate and sour cream. Spread evenly over cheesecake. Chill briefly until frosting is set. Cheesecake can be frozen up to 3 weeks. Defrost before serving.

This cheesecake came from my good friend Shari Chorney, who got it from her mother, Jane. We both love cheesecake and it seems every time we try a new recipe it becomes our new favorite.
