½ c. salt
¼ c. granulated garlic
¼ c. granulated onion
¼ c. black pepper
¼ c. sugar
2 tbsp. dry mustard
2 bay leaves

Combine ingredients. Rub into surface of brisket until well coated. Smoke, as desired.
