1 quart package frozen red sour pitted cherries
1/2 cup sugar
2 Table. cornstarch
1/8 TSR. salt

1 1/2 Table. butter


Directions:
Directions:
Barely defrost the cherries. Combine thoroughly the sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Add to cherries and blend well. Prepare pastry for a 2 crust 9" pie.
Roll out pastry and line 9" pie pan. Add cherries. Dot with butter. Cover with top crust, press edges together and bake in hot oven, 400º F. for 15 minutes. reduce heat to moderate, 350º F. and bake 30 min. longer.
