1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs, beat well together
1/2 cup sour milk**
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3 to 4 mashed ripe bananas

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first three ingredients together. Add sour milk and vanilla and mix again. In separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix together and add mashed ripe bananas. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes. Top with Pearl Icing. Recipe found in This & That.

NOTE: To make sour milk, add vinegar and the milk will curd.
