1/2 lb butter
1/2 lb shortening
1/2 C sugar
2 C powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 t vanilla
1 1/4 lb flour
2 t baking powder
1 1/2 t baking soda


Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, shortening, sugars, egg and vanilla. Blend well. Add flour, baking soda and baking powder. Mix well. Drop onto cookie sheets. Bake at 325º for approx 10 minutes or until golden brown.

This is the sugar cookie recipe from Lincoln High School. Mom always brought these home or brought them when she visited. She also has the recipe to make 200 cookies.
