1 DUNCAN HINES© white cake mix
3 ounce package strawberry jell-o
4 eggs
1 c vegetable oil
2 - 10 oz package frozen strawberries, thawed
6 Tbsp butter
2 c powdered sugar

Directions:
Drain juice off of strawberries. Reserve juice to use in place of water for the cake mix. Preheat the oven to 325º. Grease a 9 x 13" cake pan. In a large bowl stir the cake mix, jell-o, eggs, vegetable oil,1/2 of the strawberries, and 1/2 cup juice. Beat for 5 minutes on the medium speed of an electric mixer. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the cake springs back when lightly pressed in the center. Poke holes into cake with fork.

To Make Frosting: While the cake is baking, cream the butter, sugar and the remaining half of the strawberries in a medium bowl until light and fluffy, adding additional powdered sugar if needed for a spreadable consistency. Spread the frosting over the top of warm cake.
