1 lb. butter
1 lb. brown sugar
1 c. chocolate chips (or half a regular bag)

Melt butter on medium/high heat. Add brown sugar and stir constantly until candy reaches the hard crack stage (drop a little into a cup of cold water and it will get "stringy" and becomes very hard, like hard candy). Spread onto a buttered or cooking sprayed wax paper lined cookie sheet and top with chocolate chips. Once chips have melted some, spread them to coat the top of candy. Allow candy to cool completely and then break into peices.
