SAUCE
1 can tomato sauce
2 cans tomato paste
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 c. olive oil
2 T. chopped parsley
1/4 tsp. basil
1 tsp. salt
pepper to taste

MEAT
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 lbs. lean ground beef
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper

OTHER INGREDIENTS
1 pkg. lasagna noodles
1 lb. ricotta cheese
1 c. parmesan cheese
1 lb. mozzarella cheese

Directions:
SAUCE: Saute onion and garlic in olive oil. Add rest of ingredients and cook 2 hours.
MEAT: Saute onion and garlic in olive oil. ADd ground beef and seasonings. Brown, simmer for 15 minutes.
OTHER INGREDIENTS: Cook noodles according to the package. Layer noodles, meat, ricotta cheese, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese. Top with tomato sauce and parmesan cheese. Bake 1 hour at 325º.
