1 C sugar
1 C brown sugar
3/4 C butter
1/2 C molasses
3/4 C shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3 tsp. baking soda
4 1/2 C flour
raw sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixer, cream the margarine, sugar, and brown sugar. Mix in the molasses, shortening, and eggs. Stir in spices and making soda. Stir in flour. Refrigerate 1 hour. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in the raw sugar. Place 2 inches apart on the cookie sheets. Make at 350º F for 8-12 minutes.
