4 cups milk
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons flour
dash salt
3 tablespoons vanilla
4 cups cream
milk

Directions:
Directions:
Make custard the day before. Ripen to blend flavor. Scald 4 cups milk - let cool. Beat 4 eggs, add 2 cups milk, 4 tablespoons flour and dash of salt. Bring to boil and boil for one minute. Cool. After the custard sets overnight, add 3 tablespoons vanilla. Pour custard into ice cream mixer. Add 4 cups cream. Add milk within 1 inch of top. Start mixer.

You can substitute 1% milk for the milk; and substitute evaporated milk for cream.
