12 egg yolks
1 gallon milk

3 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch
dash of salt

Mix and cook on medium heat, stirring and beating constantly, until mixture thickens. Cool. Refrigerate.


This recipe has been a traditional Christmas drink in my family for 45 years. I got the recipe from Paul's mom (similar to eggnog). Can be jazzed up a bit but is delicious plain. Somehow this became a drink to drink while eating fruit cake.
