1 lb hamburger
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tsp salt
3 cups shredded cabbage
2 cups canned tomatoes or tomato sauce
1 egg
1 cup cooked rice
pepper to taste
parsely (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the hamburger, egg, onion, rice, salt & pepper together to make meatballs.Brown in hot fat or in the oven. Place cabbage in bottom of heavy skillet, dutch oven or casserole. Put meatballs on top. Cover with tomatoes. Sprinkle with parsley (optional) Simmer on stove top until cabbage is tender or may be baked 45 min at 350 degrees.
