1 c. crisco
3 c. sugar
6 egg yolks (save whites)
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp. soda
1 cup Buttermilk
2 tsp Lemon Flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Cream crisco and sugar together, Add egg yolks, one at a time beating well after each addition. Sift dry ingredients together, add alternately with buttermilk--Add lemon flavoring----BEAT egg whites and FOLD into mixture---Pour into angel food pan or bundt pan---Bake at 350 for 1 hr. and 15 minutes

I was 15 when I first made this---and I didn't beat and fold egg whites, just poured---There is a reason to beat and fold, ha!---This makes a very good cake when done right!
