4 cups sugar
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup cocoa
2 sticks margarine (1 cup)

Boil 2 minutes.

Stir in:
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups oats
2 tsp. vanilla

Then stir and drop on wax paper. May use coconut or nuts instead of peanut butter.

My kids claim this is their favorite cookie. I like it best when it is still fresh and gooey. Recipe from my mom, Janene Greener--I grew up on these too. Her recipe actually says to use quick oats, but I generally use regular/ old fashioned oats.
