1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp of sour cream
2 Tbsp of ice water
1 tsp of sugar
3/4 tsp of salt
2 1/4 cups of all purpose flour
1/4 cup of cake flour
1/2 cup of chilled unsalted butter
1/2 cup of shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sour cream, water, sugar, and salt in a small bowl. Mix both flours together. Cut in butter and shortening with a pastry blender or two forks until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Add sour cream until the dough forms. Turn out lightly floured surface. Divide in half. Roll into flatten into a disc and wrap in plastic wrap for at least one hour. You can even freeze the dough. Makes 2 crusts.

I made this recipe from Bon Appetit magazine in 1984. It is by far the best I have ever made. I gave the recipe to my sister Kathy and she has used it for years. She is best pie maker in the family!
