"The tradition of Italian cooking is that of the matriarch. This is the cooking of grandma. She didn't waste time thinking too much about the celery. She got the best celery she could and then she dealt with it."--Mario Batali

Using the Refrigerated Bread Dough recipe you can make the fried bread dough.
This was our favorite snack on when mother was baking bread.

Directions:
Directions:
Slice off a small piece of dough from the batch of bread dough. Pull out the dough, make it flat like a thick pizza bottom. Put a hole in the middle of the pulled dough and place in a hot fry pan. Fry the bread dough until brown on one side and flip over and fry the other side until brown. Remove from pan and place on dish, spread with butter and sprinkle white sugar on the dry dough. Eat while warm and enjoy!!

Personal Notes:
Hey, I just made these yesterday and they still are as good as the day we made them with mother's bread dough. This refrigerated dough is great for these and you can have the dough in the fridge for three days. Convince and handy!
