4 lbs pork country-style ribs
1/2 t. onion powder
1 T. liquid smoke
Hoisin Glaze (below)

Hoisin Glaze:
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/4 cup hoisin sauce (found with Asian foods)
2 T. honey
1/8 t. ground red pepper (cayenne)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Place ribs in rectangular pan, 13x9x2".
Sprinkle with onion powder; brush with liquid smoke.
Add 1/4 cup water to pan.
Cover with aluminum foil & bake 1 hour 30 min.

2. While ribs are baking, make Hoisin Glaze.

To Make Hoisin Glaze:
Heat all ingredients to boiling in 1-qt saucepan; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered 10 min., stirring occasionally.

3. Meanwhile, heat coals or gas grill for direct heat.
Remove ribs from pan; place on grill.
Cover & grill 4-6" from medium heat 10-15 min., turning & brushing with glaze occasionally, until tender.
Heat remaining glaze to boiling; boil 1 min.
Serve ribs with remaining glaze.

1. Glaze also wonderful with chicken.
