2 tbsp butter
1 onion, chopped
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp chili powder
2 tbsp vinegar
1 c tomato juice
2 tbsp barbecue sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in frying pan. Add chopped onion. Cook until tender. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer.
Salt the ribs. Place in shallow roasting pan, meaty side up. Roast at 450º for 30 min. Drain excess fat from pan. Pour barbecue sauce over ribs.
Lower oven to 325º. Bake covered 3 hours, uncovering last half hour.
