1/2 lb. (2 sticks) margarine
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. baking powder
1 can pie filling (cherry or blueberry is tops!)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Cream margarine, add sugar, beat well. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Gradually add flour and baking powder. Beat until flour is mixed well. Batter will be thick. Spread 3/4 of the batter in a greased and floured 10 x 16 pan (or 9 x 13 inch).
Spread pie filling evenly over batter. Spoon the rest of the batter over the filling and spread a bit. It will not completely cover filling.
Bake for 55 to 60 minutes.

My best results: bake at 325º and maybe a little longer.
