2 c whole wheat floour
1 t salt
2 t baking soda
1/4 c sugar
1 c buttermilk
1 beaten egg
1/4 c butter melted
3/4 c raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450. Stir together the first four ingredients. Mix together the buttermilk, egg and butter and gradually ad it to the dry ingredients. Stir in raisins. Shape the dough into a flat round loaf and cut a large deep X across the top. Bake on baking pan for 45 minutes. Serves six.
