6 cooking apples
4 c. cider
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 st. cinnamon
12 hole cloves
6 hole allspice
1/4 tsp. ginger
Juice of 1 lemon

Directions:
Wash, peel, core, and quarter apples. Mix all ingredients, bring to boil, let boil 10 min. Add apples, simmer slowly until soft. Remove apples to hot platter, boil syrup until thick. Strain and pour over apples.
