6 Lg green peppers
5 cups boiling salted water
1# lean ground beef
2 tbls chopped onion
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder
2 cups cooked rice
1 can tomato sauce
1 tsp worcestershire sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Cut thin slice from stem end of each pepper. Remove all the seeds & membranes. Wash inside & outside. Cook peppers in boiling salted water for about 1 minute. Drain.
Cook & stir ground beef & onion in medium skillet until onion is tender. Drain off fat. Stir in salt, garlic powder, rice and 1 cup of the tomato saucethat has been mixed with the worcestershire sauce. Heat through.
Lightly stuff each pepper with 1/2 cup meat mixture. Stand peppers upright in ungreased baking dish (8x8x2).
Pour remaining tomato sauce over peppers.
Cover and bake 45 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer.
