1 whole pheasant
1/2 cup white wine
1 orange (or apple), quartered
melted butter
salt and pepper
bacon (or maple flavored bacon)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º. Salt and pepper bird inside and out.

Place orange (or apple) or favorite stuffing in cavity of bird. Brush bird with melted butter. Wrap in heavy duty foil. Bake for 45 minutes. Open foil and bake 15 more minutes to brown. Add wine to drippings to use as gravy.
