1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Combine sugars and butter and mix well. Add oil and beat well. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Roll into 3/4-inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheets. Dip the end of a glass onto a ball of dough and then into a dish of sugar. Press each ball to flatten.

Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
