Preheat oven to 350º
Mix together 1 c. sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk to make a batter. Add 1 c. sugar to the peaches (1/2 c. may be enough if the peaches are sweet.) Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I got this recipe directly from Grandma Britt. Of course, when Grandma made her batter she never measured, she just mixed the ingredients and shoved it into the oven and it always came out perfect! She measured while I watched and wrote this down. This recipe is exactly how she made it. Over the years, I have added my own touches. I like to add blueberries to the peaches - very pretty and delicious. I also like to sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the top of the batter before placing it in the oven. This is one of my kids' favorite desserts.
