Cook your bacon or sausage
3 TBSP white flour
2 cups milk
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Brown and cook the sausage or bacon in an iron skillet until done. Remove and keep warm. Drain off all but about 2 TBSP of the bacon or sausage grease. Add the flour and mix with the grease in the pan. It will form a thin paste. Heat until slightly brown and while the heat is still on add the milk stirring continuously to dissolve the flour/grease mixture and to thicken the gravy. Cook until gravy is of correct thickness. Remove and serve over biscuits.

This was a staple at mom's kitchen. you can do the same thing to make chicken gravy making sure you have some brownings in the bottom of the skillet to make you gravy with.
