1 cup water
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 tbsp dark molasses
1 tsp salt

Directions:
In medium saucepan, combine soy sauce, 1 cup water, 1/2 cup brown sugar, molasses & salt. Bring marinade to a boil and set aside to cool. Put ribs in a large oven baking bag - put in 13 x 9 pan. Pour marinade over ribs and seal bag. Marinate ribs in frig overnight - turning bag occasionally to thoroughly coat meat. THE NEXT DAY - preheat oven 375 degrees. Drain and discard marinade from the bag. Cut 4 slits in top of bag and bake ribs for 2 hours. While ribs are baking, prepare barbecue sauce. In a large saucepan, blend water, ketchup, chili sauce, brown sugar and dry mustard. Bring to a boil, stirring well to dissolve sugar, set aside to cool. When ribs are cooked and tender, open bag and discard drippings. Lower oven temp to 350 degrees. Brush the ribs on both sides and return to oven to bake for 30 minutes longer. Just before serving - throw ribs on grill or blacken them under broiler to give them just a bit of char.
