Ingredients: Saltine crackers -- 1 sleeve 1 c. of butter – or margarine 1 c. of sugar 1 12 oz package of Semi-sweet Chocolate chips or white chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips 1 c. of chopped nuts, walnuts or almonds or pecans

Directions:•Cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and butter it. •Place the saltines on the sheet in a single layer covering the whole sheet. •In a heavy sauce pan cook the 1 cup of butter/or margarine and 1 cup of sugar. Bring to a full boil and boil for 3 minutes. •Pour over the saltines. •Place in a 400 oven for 5 minutes. It will be bubbling when you take it out. Immediately sprinkle with the chocolate chips. •After these are melted sprinkle on the nuts. •Cool on the top of the stove for a while and then cover and place in the refrigerator over night or for several hours until cold. •Break apart and enjoy. |

Notes: You can make this recipe using what ever kind of chocolate you like and what ever kind or nuts you like. At Christmas time I make different batches of this using many different variations. It makes nice gifts to give to neighbors.
