Saltine crackers -- 1 sleeve
1 c. of butter – or margarine
1 c. of sugar
1 12 oz package of Semi-sweet Chocolate chips or white chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips
1 c. of chopped nuts, walnuts or almonds or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
•Cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and butter it.
•Place the saltines on the sheet in a single layer covering the whole sheet.
•In a heavy sauce pan cook the 1 cup of butter/or margarine and 1 cup of sugar. Bring to a full boil and boil for 3 minutes.
•Pour over the saltines.
•Place in a 400 oven for 5 minutes. It will be bubbling when you take it out. Immediately sprinkle with the chocolate chips.
•After these are melted sprinkle on the nuts.
•Cool on the top of the stove for a while and then cover and place in the refrigerator over night or for several hours until cold.
•Break apart and enjoy.

You can make this recipe using what ever kind of chocolate you like and what ever kind or nuts you like. At Christmas time I make different batches of this using many different variations. It makes nice gifts to give to neighbors.
