1 1/2 cups Sugar
1/2 cup Butter
1/2 cup Shortening
3 Egg yokes
2 cups Flour
1 tsp.Soda
1 tsp.Salt
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tsp. Lemon extract
Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar,butter and shortening together. Add egg yokes.
Sift flour,soda,cream of tarter,salt together.add to creamed ingredients.
Add vanilla and lemon extract Stir together ingredients.. .
.Take bits of dough,form into balls. put on cookie sheet. Cover a flat bottom glass with a wet cloth and flatten the cookies.
Bake at 350º F for 10 - 12 minutes.
Cool and store in a tin with waxed paper between the layers of cookies.
