1 c granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 c powdered sugar
5 c flour
1 c butter or margarine
1 tsp baking soda
1 c vegetable oil
1 tsp cream of tartar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, oil and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Stir in dry ingredients. Chill dough for about 30 minutes. Shape into balls about the size of walnuts. Press with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes, just long enough to start to browning around the edges.
