2 large egg whites
3½ c confectionary sugar
2 drops food coloring
add juice from a lemon to determine thickness.

Another recipe:
3 tbl Wilton Meringue Powder
1 lb -(4 cups) sifted confectioner's sugar
6 Tbl warm water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and check for desired thickness. Frost cookies.


Second Recipe:
Beat all ingredients until icing forms peaks (7-10 minutes at low speed with a heavy-duty mixer, 10 - 12 minutes at high speed with a hand mixer.) Makes 3 cups.
For stiffer icing, use 1 Tablespoon less water.
