½ cup oil
1 ½ cup sugar
½ pound raisins
2 tsp artificial vanilla
½ cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
1. Make a thick perogy dough.
2. Roll it out in flour then slice the dough into 1.5" strips.
3. Cut the strips into 3" pieces.
4. Toss the pieces in flour so they don't stick together.
5. Bring a pot of unsalted water to a rapid boil.
6. Shake excess flour off the noodles and place them into the water, stirring constantly or they will stick.
7. When the noodles float to the surface, drain the water (reserve half a cup of the water).
8. Add cold water to the pot and place the noodles into the cold water. Set aside.
9. Beat the eggs, baking powder, oil, sugar, vanilla, and milk together until well combined.
10. Add in raisins and stir.
11. If too thick, add some of the reserved water.
12. Preheat oven to 350º
13. Grease a 9" x 12" baking dish.
14. Drain the noodles and add them to the egg mixture, stir well.
15. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake uncovered for 1 hour in preheated oven.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Keestu is a Ukranian noodle, usually used in savory dishes. In Grandmas recipe, she had added other things for a sweeter variation. I don't know where she got the recipe from or if she created it herself. I just know that as far back as I can remember, it was always an Easter tradition to make this dish and serve it in the Easter Basket.
