2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup (8 ounces) unsalted butter
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 package of Heath Bar pieces (8oz)
1/2 cup walnuts (optional)

Directions:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt and baking soda. Set aside.

Beat the butter, sugar, and vanilla; then add the eggs.

Add flour mixture, a third at a time, beating after each addition. Mix in the Heath Bits and walnuts.

Chills cookie dough for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 350º. On a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, spoon out the cookie dough in small 1-inch diameter balls(size of a large marble.

Place dough balls 3 inches away from each other on the cookie sheets. These cookies spread, so be sure there is plenty of room between the balls and that they are not too big.

Bake at 350º for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
