¾ c. sugar
1½ c. brown sugar
1½ c. Crisco (shortening)
1½ tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
3¾ c. flour
1½ tsp. baking soda
1½ tsp. salt
12 oz. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375º.
2. Beat together sugar and Crisco until light.
3. Beat in vanilla and eggs.
4. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; add to mixture.
5. Stir in chocolate chips.
6. Bae for 8 -10 minutes.

It is very important not to overbake the cookies. Take them out when they are just barely looking dry on top.

This recipe is divisible by 3, so it is very easy to make a smaller or larger-sized batch.

You can also freeze balls of dough on a cookie sheet. Once they are frozen, you can store them in a Ziploc freezer bag to bake at a later date.
