1 cup shortening
1 cup dates
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
3 cups flour
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream shortening and sugar
2. Sift flour, salt, and baking powder twice.
3. Add beaten egg; add flour and milk alternately. Add vanilla and dates.
4. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet
5. Bake in a hot oven for 15 minutes.
