2 1/4 cups sifted flour
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup shortening (plus a little extra)
5 1/2 TBSP ice water

Mix in flour and salt. Sift together. Cut in shortening. Then stir in water. Roll into pie crust.

Great Grandma could always get 4 pie crusts from this recipe. I have only ever gotten 2 pie crusts from this recipe.


For top crust--brush with milk and sprinkle white sugar
