Directions:1. Beat the Butter: In a mixing bowl, beat the butter for 3 to 5 minutes until it becomes light and fluffy.
2. Add the Eggs: Add the eggs to the butter one at a time, beating well for 5 minutes after each addition to ensure they are thoroughly combined.
3. Mix in Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the flour that has been combined with the baking powder. Mix until a soft dough forms that can be easily rolled into balls.
4. Shape the Dough: Once the dough is ready, use your hands to roll small portions into balls.
5. Bake: Preheat your oven to 325°F. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet and bake until they are just slightly brown (about 10-12 minutes). Be careful not to overbake.
6. Coat with Sugar: As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, roll them in powdered sugar while they are still hot.
7. Cool and Serve: Allow the cookies to cool on a wire rack before serving. Enjoy! |

Notes: Notes from Grandma Lorraine:
This cookie recipe comes from Grandma Beth's sister-in-law and is Grandpa Harv's favorite. It quickly became a family favorite as well, especially during the Christmas season.
Notes from Mom (Lorri Peterson):
These cookies are known for their rich, buttery flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture, making them a hit at holiday gatherings. Rolling the warm cookies in powdered sugar adds the perfect finishing touch.
Baking these cookies has become a tradition for our family, and we look forward to receiving our tin filled with homemade candy, fudge, caramels, divinity, and, of course, these cookies every year from Grandma Lorraine. It just isn’t Christmas without them!
