1 1/2 C butter softened
2 C sugar plus extra for rolling
1/2 C molasses
2 eggs
4 C flour
4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375.
Line baking sheets with parchment of silicone sheets.
In a large bowl whisk flour soda, spices and salt.
In the bowl of the mixer cream together butter, sugar then add molasses and eggs and mix well.
Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
Fill a small bowl with 3/4 C sugar.
Using 1 1/2 T batter form each cookie into a ball and roll in sugar, placing onto baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake 10 minutes then let cool on the baking sheet to continue to cook for 5 minutes after removing from the oven. After 5 minutes transfer cookies to wire racks to cool.
