2 cups bread crumbs
1/2 lb suet (did find you can substitute grated frozen shortening for this)
1 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 cup sugar
1/2 box of raisins
1/2 cup of currants
1 cup nuts
1 egg
1 cup milx
Plum Pudding Sauce
1 cup sugar
2 tbs cornstarch
2 cups water
1/4 cup butter
2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend egg and milk. Mix all ingredients. Add to milk mixture last. Put mix in a clean white cloth. Leave room for pudding to rise. Gather ends of cloth and tie. Steam for 3 hours. Serve with sauce.

For the Sauce mix in saucepan sugar and cornstarch, Gradually stir in water. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in butter and flavoring.
