1 Cup Golden Crisco
1½ Cups Brown Sugar, Packed
1 Tbsp. Vanilla
2 Eggs
2¼ Cups Flour
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Cup Chocolate Chips
1¼ Cups Chopped Pecans or 1 Cup Peanut Butter Chips or 1 Additional Cup Chocolate Chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375ºF.

Cream Crisco, brown sugar and vanilla in a large bowl at medium speed for 2 minutes or until well blended.

Add eggs, beating 1 minute or until thoroughly blended.

Combine flour, salt, and backing soda. Gradually add to creamed mixture while beating on low speed 1 minute or until well blended.

Stir in chocolate chips &, if needed, pecans/peanut butter chips.

Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls (2 Tbsp) on ungreased baking sheet, leaving 3" between cookies.

Bake one sheet at a time at 375ºF for 8 minutes.

Cookies will appear moist. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheets then let cool on racks.
