1 c. sugar
1 c. butter, softened
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. almond extract
½ tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg yolk
2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except flour; beat until light and fluffy.

Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup and level off. Add flour and mix well.

Refrigerate at least 1 hour for easier handling.

Heat oven to 375º.

On a floured surface roll out a portion of the dough to ⅛ inch thickness. Keeping the remaining dough refrigerated. Cut with lightly floured cookie cutters. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

These are the cookies that I made with Taylor and Morgan when they first came into my life. We made these for our first Christmas together and every year since.

They also work well in a cookie press.
