1 c. unsalted butter, softened
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 c maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
1 c semisweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. cream butter and sugar. until light and fluffy. add eggs and vanilla. beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract. In another bowl whisk together flour and soda and add to wet mixture. Fold in cherries and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded spoonful of dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden. Allow to cool before moving from pan.
