2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup packed brown sugar

3/4 cup butter

1/4 cup molasses

1 egg

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon ginger

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

Directions:
Directions:

Place 1/2 cup of flour in bowl.
Mix all other ingredients.
Add remaining flour.
Form into balls.
Roll in 1/4 cup of sugar.
Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 9 minutes.
(until cracked on top)
Cool on sheet.
