3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 ½ c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
4 heaping tsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, soda and sugar. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal. Blend in egg, milk and vanilla; roll out on floured board. Cut with cookie cutter; place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375º for about 8 minutes.
