SYRUP:
4 cups sugar
2 cups water

PUNCH:
2 cups strong black tea
2 cups lemon juice or 1 can frozen lemon juice, undiluted
5 cups pineapple juice or 1 can frozen orange juice, undiluted, & 1 lg. can pineapple juice
12 oz. maraschino cherries
3 quarts water
2 quarts ginger ale
Ice block for punch bowl

Directions:
Directions:
Make the simple syrup, boiling together for 10 minutes. Cool.
In a large pot add tea and juices to the syrup.
Chill 2-3 hours, straining if desired.
When ready to serve, add maraschino cherries, water and ginger ale.
Pour over ice in a large punch bowl and serve.

Add more ginger ale if desired.

Can also use Hawaiian punch for a pink color
